What Marbella has to Offer …..

Marbella is home to many different cultures and accordingly the restaurants reflect these multi cultural tastes.

Not only Spanish (think of Tapas, Paella, fresh fish and BBQ) but also Indian, Moroccan, Lebanese, Chinese, Italian and Argentinian are well represented.

If you choose it is possible to eat in one of the many exclusive restaurants in the Golden Mile, in Puerto Banus or in one of the many chic beach houses along the coast, many with live music.

Having said this, there are many places to eat where a “Menu del Dia” (Menu of the day) will cost between €12 and €15 for a three course meal.

If you prefer to eat at home there are many supermarkets including Aldi and Lidl where you can buy all you need.

Suffice to say that the choices you have are manyfold and at the end of the day it is entirely up to your personal taste, there is something for everyone.

Spanish people are very relaxed and friendly and most of the younger generation speak good English.

Evenings are quite lively in the heart of the season and people are out and about in the many bars and cafes, where they meet each other for a chat and a drink in the narrow streets of the old town, or at the famous “Plaza de Los Naranjos” with its many terraces for eating and drinking. For the young (or young at heart) there are many clubs and discos that are open until the small hours of the morning.

Apart from the great weather, the palm trees and beaches, shoppers are catered for with the La Canada shopping centre, a huge collection of shops in a covered mall with a food court and cafes. The more exclusive shops are located in Puerto Banus where you can also admire the mega yachts and watch the Ferraris and Lamborghinis drive by.

There are many sports facilities available including Tennis, Padel tennis, Fitness and of course, golf. Often referred to as the “Costa del Golf” there are some 75 courses on the coast.

If you have been on holiday in Marbella, we can imagine that you may think that this would be an ideal place for a second home, an investment or even a retirement home for permanent use.

To help you to get some idea of the costs involved we work with one of the biggest legal companies on the coast and they can help with questions related to tax etc.

They can advise you in the best way to approach the buying process and help with getting a Spanish bank account and the necessary licences and associated paperwork.
